Chennai, June 4 -- Having crossed the milestone of 100 Emerging Business (EB) branches last year, Sundaram Home Finance (SHF) on Thursday said it was planning to open another 25 new EB branches in South India this year.
These new branches will come up in Tier-3 and 4 towns in TN, Karnataka, Andhra and Telangana.
The EB segment comprises of Affordable Housing Finance and Small Ticket Loans.
The company, which had registered disbursements of Rs. 590crores in the EB segment last year, is targeting disbursements of around Rs. 1,000 crores this year.
As part of its expansion, the company that currently has around 800 employees in the EB segment plans to hire around 300 people in this segment this year.
