Mumbai, Aug. 17 -- Maharashtra Cultural Affairs Minister Ashish Shelar on Monday assumed charge as Chairman of ND Studios, Karjat, becoming the first head of its Board of Directors constituted under the Maharashtra Film, Theatre and Cultural Development Corporation.
Soon after taking charge, Shelar chaired the first Board meeting and announced a 50 per cent concession on all components at ND Studios till March 31, 2027, with an aim to reduce production costs and encourage more filmmakers to shoot in Maharashtra.
The concession will cover entry fees to the theme park, accommodation charges for producers, artistes, art directors and other crew members, as well as charges for various shooting locations at the studio.
