Hyderabad, Sept. 2 -- Local favourite Vishesh Sharma and experienced campaigner Amardeep Malik emerged as the leading contenders at the halfway stage of the INR 1 crore Telangana Golconda Masters, sharing the lead at 14-under 126 after contrasting second-round performances at the Hyderabad Golf Association here on Wednesday.
The 19-year-old Sharma, who opened the tournament by matching the course record with a stunning 10-under 60, followed it with a four-under 66 to retain his position at the top. Malik, 41, who began the day one shot behind the leaders, carded a five-under 65 to draw level with the Hyderabad golfer.
