Ashok RainaPalampur, Aug. 3 -- Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister and former union Minister Shanta Kumar on Monday expressed concern over the prolonged delay in appointing a Vice-Chancellor to the Agriculture University at Palampur and urged the state government to immediately fill the vacant post.

Shanta Kumar said he was pleased that during his first tenure as Chief Minister, the Agriculture University was established at Palampur. Over the past nearly 38 years, he said, the university has played a significant role in the development of Kangra district and Himachal Pradesh and has earned recognition among agricultural universities across the country for its achievements.
