Palampur, June 25 -- Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister and former union Minister Shanta Kumar on Wednesday expressed serious concern over reports of drug samples manufactured in Himachal Pradesh failing quality tests and urged the state government to conduct a thorough investigation and take stringent action against the guilty companies.
Shanta Kumar said Himachal Pradesh plays a pivotal role in India's pharmaceutical industry, with nearly 40 percent of the medicines produced in the country being manufactured in the state.
