Varanasi, March 19 -- : In the holy city of Kashi, the Jyotishpeeth Shankaracharya, Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati, has issued his annual message on Thursday, addressed to Sanatan Dharma followers across the globe on the auspicious occasion of the New Samvatsar (Year) ''Raudra'' (Vikrami 2083).
On this New Year, Shankaracharya also unveiled the Sanatani Almanac (Panchang). During the 20th-anniversary celebrations of the ''Pratah Mangalam'' program, young students (Batuks) offered the first Arghya (ritual water offering) to the rising sun of the New Year at the Shankaracharya Ghat.
