Kolkata, June 13 -- West Bengal BJP president Shamik Bhattacharya accused the previous Trinamool Congress (TMC) government of hindering the state's development by failing to implement several Central government initiatives.
In a social media post on Saturday, he alleged that the state's neglect has resulted in the loss of major development opportunities and as a result left many rapidly growing settlements struggling with unplanned urbanisation.
Bhattacharya claimed that the people of West Bengal want development rather than politics and asserted that a "double-engine government" would accelerate growth through better planning, funding, and technology-driven governance.
