Kolkata, March 27 -- union Home Minister Amit Shah, who is scheduled to arrive in Kolkata late Friday night, is expected to announce a comprehensive chargesheet against the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Saturday afternoon.
Party sources indicated that the announcement of the chargesheet is poised to mark a major political development ahead of the electoral battle in West Bengal. It is also expected to pave the way for the later release of the BJP's election manifesto.
"If the chargesheet exposes the misgovernance and corruption within TMC, the manifesto will serve as a response to that. Together, these two initiatives will intensify the party's critique of the ruling government," a senior BJP functionary said.
