Agartala, July 13 -- The CPI-M-affiliated Students' Federation of India (SFI) has opposed the government's decision to deploy a large number of school teachers for the upcoming Census, citing the acute shortage of teachers in government schools across the state.
In a statement, SFI urged the state government to immediately reconsider its decision, arguing that the move would further disrupt the already struggling education system. It is suggested to deploy other government employees for such activities, instead of teachers.
