Ahilyanagar, June 12 -- The investigations by Loni Police in this district have uncovered a large-scale illegal sex determination racket operating across the districts of Pune, Nashik, and Ahilyanagar.
Notably, seven doctors are among the 21 accused arrested so far in connection with the case.
Authorities have recently arrested Dr. Kunal Valte from Niphad, medical st ore operators Sagar Unhal and Jalindar Borude of Ghogargaon, agent Ram Pawar alias Taposh Shibu Sarkar, besides Dr. Atul Jadhav from Pune.
During the probe, police seized five sonography machines allegedly used for illegal prenatal sex determination, along with four four-wheelers and one two-wheeler.
