Lucknow, April 27 -- Parts of Uttar Pradesh are in the grip of severe heat wave. The Meteorological Department issued a warning on Monday, stating that hot and dry weather will persist until April 27, while there are signs of a change in weather from April 28. Thunderstorms, strong winds, and light rain are expected during this period.

According to the Meteorological Department, heat wave conditions prevailed at many places in both the western and eastern parts of the state on Sunday. Warm night conditions were also recorded in some areas. The heat wave will continue on Monday, although its intensity is likely to be limited to a few areas.
