Imphal, Sept. 5 -- Seven teachers were honoured with the State Teachers' Awards by the Manipur government on Saturday on the occasion of Teachers' Day.
The state-level celebration was organised by the Department of Education at the City Convention Centre, Palace Compound, Imphal.
Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh presented the awards to Oinam Ranjit Singh, Salam Sunita Devi, R.K. Badal Singh, Hanjabam Sangeeta Devi, Phelim Keishing and Kakchingtabam Pramodini Devi. M. Mangkhoneng Haokip of Tengnoupal district received the award through the ADC, Tengnoupal, via video conference.
Each awardee was honoured with a cash prize of Rs 50,000 in recognition of their contribution to education and commitment to teaching.
