Motihari, Aug. 30 -- At least seven people were killed in separate incidents at different places in East Champaran district during the past twenty four hours.
Police said here on Sunday that 44-year-old Virendra Sah, a resident of Bel panchayat under Ramgarhwa police station, died of electrocution after coming in contact with an exposed wire near an electricity transformer while he was out for a morning walk near Bel canal.
In another electrocution incident, eight-year-old Pratiksha, daughter of Manish Kumar and a resident of Devpur Chhapra Vishwanath under Chakia police station, died after coming in contact with an iron electricity pole carrying current while returning home after purchasing items from a shop.
