Sanaa, Aug. 10 -- Seven people were killed and 30 others wounded in a Houthi missile and drone attack on the Red Sea port city of al-Makha, Yemen's military said on Monday, in the latest escalation along the country's western coast.

Colonel Majid al-Nuzaili, a government military spokesman, said four soldiers and three civilians were killed in the attack, while most of those wounded were civilians.

The strikes targeted both military and civilian sites, including residential areas, electricity-generating stations and other infrastructure across the city, al-Nuzaili said.
