Jalna, April 1 -- The Congress party has taken strict disciplinary action by suspending seven corporators in the Jalna Municipal Corporation for allegedly violating party discipline and extending open support to the BJP after the municipal election results.
A similar action had earlier been taken in the Ambernath Municipal Corporation.
As per reports, during the process of appointing nominated members in the Jalna Municipal Corporation, seven Congress corporators went against the party's whip and supported BJP candidates, bringing significant embarrassment for the party.
