Mumbai , June 6 -- Seven Bangladeshi nationals-including three women, three men and a boy-were arrested by Mumbai Police for allegedly staying in the city without valid visas or passports, officials said on Saturday.
According to police, personnel from the MIDC police station acted on a tip-off and checked their documents, during which it was found that all the accused were Bangladeshi nationals living in India without valid travel papers.
Investigators alleged that the group had entered India illegally several years ago, reportedly crossing into Kolkata before travelling through Delhi and Gujarat, and eventually settling in Mumbai.
