Tehran, July 10 -- Senior Iranian officials and clerics have intensified calls for retaliation following the killing of former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and have warned that any military action against Tehran would be met with "reciprocal action".
The statements came after US President Donald Trump suggested Washington could target Iranian electrical manufacturing facilities, power plants and desalination infrastructure if tensions escalate further.
Iran's Supreme National Security Council Secretary Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr warned that any strike on the country's infrastructure would trigger retaliation.
