New Delhi, May 27 -- The Central Government has appointed senior advocate Lalit Sharma as "Senior Panel Counsel" at the Rajasthan High Court, according to an order issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice on May 12.

Sharma, a Jaipur-based lawyer with decades of experience, was named in the ministry's appointment order, marking a significant recognition of his standing in India's legal community.

The appointment comes on the back of an extensive career in which Sharma served as standing counsel for the Jaipur Municipal Corporation for nearly a decade, representing the civic body in several significant cases.
