Hyderabad, July 15 -- Telangana Women and Child Welfare Minister Dr Danasari Anasuya (Seethakka) on Wednesday directed officials to expand the Anganwadi breakfast scheme across the state from next month, citing encouraging results from the pilot project in Bhadradri Kothagudem and Kumuram Bheem Asifabad districts.

Reviewing the department's welfare programmes through a video conference with district officials, the Minister stressed that childhood forms the foundation of a healthy society and said quality nutrition, education and care should remain the department's top priority.
