Hyderabad, July 30 -- Telangana Panchayat Raj, Women and Child Welfare Minister Danasari Anasuya Seethakka on Thursday directed officials to take a series of measures to strengthen the Anganwadi system across the state.

At a review meeting on the functioning of the Women and Child Welfare Department at the Secretariat, the Minister instructed officials to hold district-wise meetings with Anganwadi teachers and helpers to gather suggestions for improving the functioning of Anganwadi centres and prepare a comprehensive action plan based on their feedback.

She also directed officials to immediately identify and resolve issues related to toilets, drinking water and electricity at Anganwadi centres.
