Chandigarh, June 3 -- Punjab Police have intensified security arrangements in Amritsar ahead of the June 6 observance of Ghallughara Divas, which marks the anniversary of Operation Blue Star, with senior officials reviewing preparedness and deploying additional forces across the city and surrounding areas.
Special DGP Praveen Sinha visited Amritsar on Wednesday to assess the security measures in place and held meetings with officials from various security agencies.
