Mumbai, July 11 -- In a staggering display of administrative negligence, the highly sensitive premises of the Maharashtra Vidhan Bhavan have been turned into a "dumping ground" for derelict vehicles, raising alarming questions about the state's internal security protocols.

Despite the Vidhan Bhavan being one of the most high-security zones in the state, Assembly Speaker, Council Chairman, offices of the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Ministers and other Cabinet ministers, over 15 abandoned vehicles-including cars, two-wheelers and carriages-have been left to rot in the legislative assembly's parking area for years.
