Imphal, May 8 -- Security forces recovered a large cache of arms, ammunition, explosives, and tactical equipment during separate operations conducted in Senapati and Churachandpur district on Friday.
According to police security forces launched a search operation in the Maremai-Hengbung hill ranges under Senapati Police Station in Senapati district and recovered a variety of weapons and ammunition.
The recovered items included two .22 rifles with magazines, one .303 rifle with a magazine, one MP5 rifle with a magazine, one AK-47 rifle with a magazine, four locally made bolt-action rifles, one locally made shotgun, three .32 pistols with magazines, and two .22 pistols with magazines.
