New Delhi, April 6 -- A masked man drove a car through an iron gate, forcing his way into the high-security premises of the Delhi Legislative Assembly complex around 2 pm on Monday. He, then fled the scene.

According to the police, the incident is being considered a major security concern.

The culprit entered through Gate 2, which is designated for VIP access, exited his vehicle, placed a bouquet on the porch near Speaker Vijender Gupta's car, and then drove off the premises.

He rammed both the tall iron gate and the boom barrier while entering and exiting.

Bomb disposal squads and Crime Branch teams have been deployed, with no suspicious items found so far.
