Srinagar, July 10 -- The Baramulla district administration has imposed prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, in Mirchimar village of Singhpora ahead of the 25th Muharram observance on July 11, citing apprehensions of a confrontation between rival groups and a possible breach of peace.
According to an order issued by District Magistrate Baramulla, the restrictions will remain in force from 8:30 pm on July 10 until 10 pm on July 11 in Mirchimar, Malla Mohalla, and adjoining areas of Sub-Division Pattan.
