Puri, April 7 -- The second phase of the inventory of the Ratna Bhandar at Sri Jagannath Temple will commence on Wednesday, temple chief administrator Aravind Padhee announced on Tuesday evening.

The exercise will continue until April 11, resume for a day on April 13, and then proceed for three days from April 16 to 18.

Padhee explained that the inventory will be paused on Saturdays, Sundays, and festival days to accommodate the heavy rush of devotees.

Earlier, on March 25, the inventory and tallying of the Challanti Bhandar-the collection of daily-use items of the deities-was completed, compared with the 1978 inventory. In this phase, the contents of the Bahar Ratna Bhandar will be carefully counted and matched against the 1978 records....
