Puri, April 8 -- The second phase of the inventory of the Ratna Bhandar (treasure chamber) of the Jagannath Temple resumed on Wednesday, with two designated teams entering the sanctum to carry out the detailed assessment of ornaments.
Earlier, on March 25, officials had successfully completed the inventory and verification of the Challanti Bhandar-the repository of daily-use items of the deities-by comparing it with records from 1978. Building on that effort, the current phase focuses on the Bahar Ratna Bhandar, where ornaments are being meticulously counted and matched against the historical inventory.
