Shimla, March 10 -- After a prolonged legal battle over the delay in conducting Panchayati Raj and Urban Local Bodies (ULB) elections, the State Election Commission (SEC) and the Himachal Pradesh government have locked horns over the creation of new Gram Panchayats in three districts.
According to officials of the SEC, State Election Commissioner Anil Khachi has issued fresh instructions to complete the delimitation and demarcation of new wards for Gram Panchayats and Urban Local Bodies by March 20.
