New Delhi, Sept. 10 -- The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) is stepping up its focus on emerging technologies, with the capital markets regulator working on a framework for artificial intelligence (AI) oversight and preparing to pilot tokenised corporate bonds.
SEBI Chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey said the regulator is moving towards implementing the International Organisation of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) supervisory toolkit for AI in India's securities market.
The framework is aimed at strengthening risk management and building a more responsive governance structure as the use of AI expands among regulated entities.
