Chennai, July 28 -- The sea at Pattinapakkam beach in Chennai receded suddenly by around 10 to 15 metres on Tuesday, creating concern among the public.
According to local observations, the seawater moved significantly inward, unsually exposing a larger stretch of the sandy seabed.
At the same time, tidal waves were seen hitting the shore with unusual force and speed, appearing more aggressive than normal. Despite the temporary retreat of the sea, the waves remained rough, with strong currents reaching the shoreline.
