Hyderabad, April 2 -- South Central Railway (SCR) has registered record-breaking performance across multiple segments during the financial year 2025-26, marking one of its best-ever years in operations and revenue.
Addressing a press conference at Rail Nilayam in Secunderabad on Thursday, SCR General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava said the zone carried 286.44 million originating passengers during the year, generating a record passenger revenue of Rs 6,235.37 crore.
In the freight segment, SCR transported 147.871 million tonnes of originating freight-its highest ever-earning a record Rs 13,575 crore in freight revenue. Key commodities such as cement (38.04 MT), clinker (19.83 MT), and iron ore (8.82 MT) also recorded peak loading figures....
