Hyderabad, March 25 -- South Central Railway (SCR) has registered its highest-ever freight loading since inception, achieving 144.244 million tonnes (MTs) in the current financial year 2025-26 (up to March 24), surpassing the previous record of 144.14 MTs recorded last year.

The milestone was achieved a week ahead of the close of the financial year, reflecting the zone's sustained operational efficiency and coordinated efforts in freight transportation, a SCR statement said on Wednesday.
