Aizawl, Aug. 5 -- A 15-year-old schoolgirl who had been missing since Monday night was found dead near her school in Mualthuam North village in southern Mizoram's Lunglei district on Wednesday, with police suspecting foul play.
The deceased, identified as H. Ramdinpuii, was a Class 10 student of Mualthuam North High School. She was reported missing on Monday night, prompting an extensive search by family members and village volunteers throughout Tuesday and into the night.
Her body was eventually discovered at around 10.30 am on Wednesday in a thicket close to the school by volunteers who had resumed the search.
According to eyewitnesses, the body bore two injury marks on the throat believed to have been inflicted with a sharp weapon. Ho...
