Meerut, April 8 -- A major accident occurred on Wednesday morning in the Daurala area of Meerut when a school bus carrying children lost control and overturned into a roadside ditch about 10-12 feet deep.
The incident triggered panic and chaos at the scene, with cries for help heard from inside the bus.
According to reports, around 50-55 students were on board the bus, which belongs to St. Mary's Academy School and is operated by Asif Transport.
The bus, assigned to Route No. 1, was being driven by a driver identified as Ruman. It was on its way to the school, picking up children from villages including Urla, Chindauri, Lawad, and Mavimira.
