Parmod KumarNew Delhi, Sept. 15 -- The Supreme Court on Tuesday agreed to hear a plea by Wildlife SOS co-founder and CEO Kartick Satyanarayan challenging the Madhya Pradesh High Court's withdrawal of interim protection from arrest in a case involving alleged leopard poaching.
Senior advocate Siddhartha Dave mentioned the matter before a bench comprising Chief Justice Surya Kant, Justice Joymalya Bagchi and Justice V. Mohana, seeking protection for Satyanarayan while he joins the investigation.
Dave said Wildlife SOS was an NGO engaged in anti-poaching activities and its efforts had led to the recovery of leopard skins. Satyanarayan, however, was subsequently implicated in the case by the State, he submitted.
