New Delhi, June 15 -- The Supreme Court on Monday issued notices on the Centre's petitions seeking the transfer of multiple cases pending before various High Courts that challenge the constitutional validity of the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Amendment Act, 2026.

A vacation bench comprising Chief Justice of India Surya Kant and Justice V Mohan directed that proceedings in all related matters pending before various High Courts shall remain stayed until further orders.

The bench also issued notices to the petitioners who have challenged the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Amendment Act, 2026, before the High Courts and sought their responses to the Centre's transfer petitions.
