Parmod KumarNew Delhi, April 30 -- The Supreme Court on Thursday issued notice to the Central and State governments, as well as the Law Commission of India, on a public interest litigation seeking reforms in the adjudication of land disputes, including direction that such matters be decided by legally trained professionals rather than revenue officials without formal legal education.

A Bench of Chief Justice Surya Kant and Justice Joymalya Bagchi took note of the concerns raised and sought responses within four weeks.
