Parmod KumarNew Delhi, July 29 -- The Supreme Court on Wednesday accepted the Central Bureau of Investigation's decision to give a clean chit to former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh in the coal block allocation case relating to the allocation of the Talabira-II coal block in Odisha to Hindalco in 2005, contrary to the recommendation of the Screening Committee.
Ironically, the CBI's decision to clear the former Prime Minister's name came more than one-and-a-half years after his death on December 26, 2024.
