Patna, May 28 -- Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has said that India could become stronger and Bihar more prosperous by drawing inspiration from the ideals of freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar.
Addressing a function organised at the annexe auditorium of the Bihar Legislative Council on the occasion of Savarkar's 143rd birth anniversary on Thursday, the Chief Minister released a book titled "Veer Savarkar Ki Jeevani" based on the life of the nationalist leader.
Choudhary said Savarkar was not an "unknown" figure, as every citizen of the country today was aware of his personality and patriotism. He alleged that the British and some historians had failed to give due recognition to several freedom fighters in history.
