Ranchi, March 18 -- Jamshedpur West MLA Saryu Roy on Wednesday expressed disappointment over the non-introduction of his private member's Bill, the Jharkhand Geo-Heritage (Fossil) Bill, 2026, in the Assembly.
Roy said he had expected the Bill to be introduced during the Budget Session, but it was not taken up till the final day of the session.
He said he had written to the Speaker twice in this regard, on January 20 and March 13, requesting that the Bill be placed before the House.
In his letters, Roy referred to parliamentary procedures and said that a decision on the introduction of the private member's Bill should have been taken within a reasonable time.
