Monaco, July 11 -- India's Sarvesh Kushare finished an impressive third in the men's high jump competition at the Monaco Diamond League 2026.

The 31-year-old jumper was making his Diamond League debut in Monaco on Friday. The meet is officially called Meeting Herculis.

Courtesy of the result, Kushare became only the fourth Indian athlete to log a top-three finish ina Diamond League athletics meet after discus thrower Vikas Gowda, javelin throw ace Neeraj Chopra and long jumper Murali Sreeshankar.

Kushare is enjoying a landmark campaign in 2026. He broke Tejaswin Shankar's eight-year-old national record with a 2.31m leap at the National Inter-State Senior Athletics Championships in Bhubaneswar last month, according to olympics.com.
