Mumbai, June 1 -- Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state spokesperson Navnath Ban on Monday launched a sharp attack on Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut, accusing him of abandoning Balasaheb Thackeray's ideology and shifting his political stance for power.

Addressing a press conference at the BJP state office, Ban said that between 2014 and 2019, Raut had openly praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and frequently acknowledged his contributions to the nation. He alleged that Raut changed his position after 2019 solely to help Uddhav Thackeray become Chief Minister and to gain political advantage.
