Kathmandu, Aug. 10 -- The highly experienced, leg-spin bowler Sandeep Lamichhane takeson captaincy duties for the Nepal ODI team as they enter the ACC Men's Premier Cup.
The 26-year old, with 154 wickets in 77 ODIs, will replace Rohit Paudel at the helm.
Lamichhane has captained Nepal in 14 ODIs previously before Paudel took over the captaincy in 2022.
Paudel fuelled success during his tenure, helping Nepal win 11 of the 12 ODI matches in ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 to achieve a berth at the World Cup Qualifier in Zimbabwe in June 2023, providing a reliable and valued anchor in the batting order, according to ICC.
