Bengaluru, July 9 -- Samsung R&D Institute India-Bangalore (SRI-B) has said its employee-led notebook donation initiative has benefited more than two lakh students across Karnataka over the past decade by distributing nearly 15 lakh notebooks to government school children.
The initiative, launched in 2015 after employees observed that many students attended government schools without basic learning materials, has grown into one of the institute's longest-running community outreach programmes.
As part of this year's drive, more than 100 SRI-B employees distributed 42,819 notebooks to 7,620 students across 195 government schools in Kolar district, while also interacting with students.
