Patna, Sept. 27 -- Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, on the occasion of World Rivers Day, extended greetings to the people of the state and called for greater public awareness about the conservation, cleanliness and rejuvenation of rivers.
In a message posted on social media, Choudhary today said rivers are life-giving and their protection is the responsibility of every member of society. He appealed to people to pledge to keep rivers clean, pristine and safe.
The Chief Minister said it was essential to preserve the natural flow and existence of rivers for future generations.
