Bhubaneswar, Sept. 5 -- Former union Education Minister and Sambalpur MP Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday said Sambalpur district would be developed as a "skill laboratory", with rural youth being equipped with job-oriented skills and villages producing a new generation of content creators.

On the occasion of Teachers' Day, Pradhan launched two new-age courses - "Self-Healthcare and Wellness" for youth and "AI Tools for Collaborative Learning" aimed at strengthening teachers' digital and technological capabilities - at the Odisha State Open University (OSOU) campus in Sambalpur.

He also laid the foundation stone for the RISE (Residential Internship and Skill Hub for Industry) building at the OSOU campus.
