New Delhi, July 23 -- Defending champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape will begin their SA20 title defence against Pretoria Capitals when the fifth edition of the tournament gets underway on January 17, 2027.
Cricket South Africa announced the fixtures on Thursday, with the tournament set to run until February 21. The opening match at St George's Park in Gqeberha will be a repeat of last season's final, where Sunrisers Eastern Cape defeated Pretoria Capitals to lift the trophy.
Pretoria Capitals head into the new season with renewed confidence after reaching the final under head coach Sourav Ganguly and captain Keshav Maharaj. The schedule also includes four Saturday double-headers on January 23, January 30, February 6 and February 13.
