Kyiv, Sept. 17 -- Russia launched a barrage of missiles and drones against Kyiv and other parts of Ukraine overnight and into Thursday morning, wounding at least 18 people in the capital, including two children, Ukrainian officials said.

The Kyiv City Military Administration said attacks were recorded at more than 10 locations in the capital. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said 18 people, including two children, were wounded, with most casualties reported from a damaged 16-storey apartment building, as per local media reports.

Damage was reported in four districts of Kyiv, including warehouses and a petrol station. The attack also temporarily disrupted water supplies on the left bank of the Dnipro River, officials said.
