Moscow/Kyiv, May 24 -- Russia has launched a massive wave of strikes against Ukraine, unleashing hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles in which at least four people were killed and 80 people sustained injuries, Ukrainian authorities said on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Russia confirmed on Sunday it had launched an Oreshnik hypersonic ballistic missile at Ukraine in the overnight strikes on Sunday. Notably, this is the third time the nuclear-capable weapon has been used in the four-year war.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Kyiv was the main target, but other areas were also hit, with at least 83 people injured. There are reports of damage to residential buildings and schools.
