Mumbai, Oct. 20 -- US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar held discussions in Mumbai on Tuesday, focusing on energy security, defence ties and ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation between India and the United States.
Following the meeting, Rubio said the two leaders exchanged views on energy and defence-related issues while reiterating the importance of advancing the strategic partnership between the two countries.
US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor also highlighted the engagement, noting that the discussions covered several areas of mutual interest, including defence, energy, emerging technologies and trade.
